Koli tourist center is located in North Karelia, on the western shore of Lake Pielinen, about 75 km north of Joensuu. Koli slopes of Ukko-Koli and Loma-Koli offer with its 12 slopes and the joint ticketing system lot´s of fun on skis, snowboards or a sled down the hills. Ukko-Koli ski slopes are located in the Koli National Park, next to the Sokos Hotel Koli, whereas Loma-Koli slopes are located about 10 km away from the village of Koli, in Loma-Koli area. If you are staying at Sokos Hotel Koli, you have a convenient access directly from your front door to Ukko-Koli slopes!

On the slopes of Ukko-Koli you will find Ukko-Koli "Black", which many consider the most challenging slope in Finland. Loma-Koli slopes are particularly suitable for families and snowboarders. The children's slope, as well as the sledding hill, shelters and huts guarantee a relaxing day for the whole family. Loma-Koli is also organizing a popular "Werneri" ski school for children.

The best way to move between the Ski resorts is by a car. On the slopes of Koli you can find the ticket sales and ski equipment rentals, as well as the Slope restaurants and ski schools. Sokos Hotel Koli as well as the both Slope restaurants have a wireless Internet connection. The Sokos Hotel Koli offers a Internet terminal for their guests, whereas Loma-Koli has two public internet terminals as well as a Xbox game tower. Loma-Koli offers a year-round caravan site. You can also rent a seasonal place!

Reino & Aino Finland Slalom - The 2011-2012 winter season is full of events! Werner´s skiing school will be arranged for the first time also during the winter holiday weeks 8 and 9. Reino & Aino Finland Slalom -tour event will happen in Koli on the 26th of February. There are many more ski testing days and the biggest competition of the winter be arranged on the 11th -12th of February when "Audi cup" is coming to Koli. The closing party of skiing season will be arranged on the 15th of April. 

The most convenient way to get to Koli is either by car or arriving by train/plain to Joensuu or Kuopio. From Joensuu to Koli operates a Shuttle taxi. For more information: www.taksikoli.fi
