Tour ice skating is a magical way to enjoy winter ice while moving gently in the heart of nature. You can experience the ice of Lake Pielinen on a tour skating tracks in Koli, Vuonislahti and Nurmes,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the Koli Ski Resort, you can now access a tour ice skating route that runs all the way to Koli Harbour \u2014 approximately 2 km in each direction through stunning lakeside scenery in front of the national park. This maintained trail invites you to glide at your own pace or enjoy a family winter adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both ends of the trail have places where you can enjoy warm drinks and snacks \u2014 at Kolin Rinnetupa and Kolin Satamatupa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Natural ice may have uneven spots and possible cracks \u2014 be careful.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The ice touring track is freely available to all skaters and can also be used for kick sledding or walking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

A separate ice touring track starting from Vuonislahti harbour (Tolkintie, Vuonislahti) has been opened (from 12.2.2026) that loops toward Raapio Island, with a distance of about 4 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vuonislahti\u2013Koli cross-lake route will not open this season due to uneven ice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
The Vuonislahti track is maintained by the City of Lieksa and is free for public use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is also a tour skating track in Bomba, Nurmes. The track runs along the shores of lake Pielinen in front of the Breaks Sokos Hotel Bomba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Koli, you can also skate near the village of Koli at the skating rink of the Koli Euron Arena (Koli Sports Centre, Yl\u00e4-Kolintie 10), which is located about one kilometre from the village of Koli.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
