Purjehdus Pielisellä

Lähde ohjatulle purjehdusretkelle

Lake Pielinen is the fourth largest lake in Finland – and one of the most impressive places to experience the peaceful magic of sailing. The rugged hills of Koli, wide open waters and the lake dotted with islands create a unique setting where sailing feels both like an adventure and a perfect escape from everyday life.

When the boat leaves the pier at Koli Harbour, the rush of daily life fades away. At its best, sailing on Lake Pielinen means immersing yourself in the rhythm of nature: the wind guides your course, the movement of the water gently rocks the boat, and the scenery slowly changes around you. It is one of the most peaceful – yet memorable – ways to experience Koli in summer.

The magic of sailing with a guide

On a guided sailing trip departing from Koli Harbour, you can experience sailing from a completely new perspective. The trip also serves as an introduction to the world of sailing: you will learn the basics of sailing, how to observe the wind, and how to handle the boat in a safe and relaxed atmosphere.

The course is an authorised Introduction to Sailing course by the Finnish Sailing Instructors Association (Purjehduksenopettajat PORY ry) and is well suited for beginners. No previous sailing experience is required – curiosity and a willingness to try something new are enough.

The trip is organised by Allure Sailing, and your instructor is Katri, an authorised sailing instructor. She has several years of experience in both sailing and sailing instruction in the Finnish Archipelago Sea as well as on the Atlantic.
