The traditional log-built Haikola house offers a charming and nature-inspired setting for family celebrations, meetings and other events. Catering can be arranged according to your wishes. Haikola can accommodate approximately 80 guests.

Experience a traditional and peaceful summer night in the beautiful courtyard of Haikola, right on the shores of Lake Pielinen. Our summer rooms offer a charming accommodation option for solo travellers, couples, small families and groups of friends.
A relaxing summer evening is perfectly rounded off with a sauna session in our newly renovated sauna, “Haikolan Helmi” (Haikola’s Pearl).
The Kohtavaara Nature and History Trail is open year-round for anyone looking for peace and tranquillity in the forest. Along the trail, you will find the Toivontorni observation tower, offering beautiful views over the northern part of Lake Pielinen and a landscape reminiscent of Koli’s iconic national scenery. The 2.4-kilometre trail follows the hilltop and passes the stone foundations of the buildings that once stood at the Kohtavaara farm. The trail can also be explored in winter.
