Kolin Matkailu Oy was established on July 1, 2018, to carry out joint marketing for Koli, replacing the Kolin matkailuyhdistys ry (Koli Tourism Association). Until May 30, 2022, Kolin Matkailu Oy was wholly owned by the Kolin matkailuyhdistys ry. However, the company underwent a share issue in the spring of 2022, and after the shareholders’ meeting on May 31, 2022, the ownership expanded to include the city of Lieksa, the municipality of Juuka, and approximately 40 tourism companies in the area. The number of shareholders in the company is growing, and by the end of 2023, in addition to the two municipalities, approximately 70 tourism companies will own shares in the company.
Following the redirection of its operations, Kolin Matkailu Oy has functioned as the development, marketing, and sales company for the Koli tourism area. Its activities are aimed at professional sales, impactful marketing in digital and print environments, and growth-oriented strategies in line with the interests of the shareholders.
